COAF STAFF

 

Key staff of the Phoenix House Center on Addiction and the Family (COAF) – formerly Children of Alcoholics Foundation include:

 

Naomi Weinstein, MPH, Director.  Naomi has worked with COAF since 1991. She is involved in helping clinical treatment programs become more family involved, and is the author of numerous publications and curriculums on this issue. Naomi has a special interest in cross-systems work with child welfare and family court and family systems.

Ethelena Persons, LMSW, Senior Family Program Associate. Ethelena works with clinical treatment programs on family focused initiatives. Ethelena has an extensive background in child welfare, family preservation, juvenile justice, education and training.

Julie Rosenbluth, MPH., Senior Adolescent Program Associate. Julie works with adolescent treatment programs on family initiatives, as well as manages school and community-based prevention efforts. Julie specializes in the needs and concerns of adolescents and young adults.

Kim Sumner-Mayer, LMFT, Ph.D., Special Consultant and Kinship Care Director. Kim is a licensed family therapist and works on initiatives supporting parents and families involved in drug treatment programs. Kim has a lengthy background in the child welfare arena and has a special interest in kinship care, parent/child visits, and reunification issues.

Doris Smith, Fulfillment Coordinator.  Doris is responsible for responding to all inquires and requests for information and resources on addiction, treatment, and recovery and manages a college substance abuse prevention program. Doris also handles administrative matters such as billing and accounts receivable.
