TRAININGS, CONSULTATION, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

The Children of Alcoholics Foundation offers training, technical assistance, and consultation to agencies and professionals to help strengthen or expand their programs and services. 

Our services include:

• develop customized written materials

• create meaningful, tailored curriculum

• research and write white papers and other position statements

• offer specialized on-site trainings

• conference and other special presentations

Training and technical assistance is provided in the following areas:

• The effects of parental substance abuse - enhancing resiliency and protective factors

• Alcohol and Other Drug Issues on College Campuses

• Kinship Care and Parental Substance Abuse

• Substance Abuse Prevention and Education

• Cross-systems collaborations between substance abuse and child welfare systems

• Values and attitudes about substance abuse

• Family systems and substance abuse

• Post-drug treatment family reunification

Systems we have worked with have included:

• social work

• child welfare

• housing services

• college alcohol and other drug prevention

• justice / court system

• kinship care support

• employee assistance programs

• family service agencies

• law enforcement

Partnership Opportunities

We are always eager to partner with other organizations to accomplish mutual program development and dissemination goals.  In partnering, we have helped to write funding proposals, offered program services including training-of-trainer sessions and developed program materials.

Pricing is quoted on an individual basis to fit the needs of the agency requesting services.  COAF offers compepetitive and reasonable prices for all of its services.
