YOUR ROLE

If you love working with children and have experience teaching physics and engineering, then being a COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) SMART Room Physics and Engineering Instructor is a perfect role for you. More specifically: 

 

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the SMART Rooms team (by a Service provision contract) in Mets Ayrum (Lori region), Koti, Aygehovit, Vazashen (Tavush region) and will work under the leadership of the SMART Rooms Coordinator. We are expecting more and require that: 

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Develop curriculum and lesson plans for the Engineering program. Duration of the course: 4 semesters, 14 weeks each, frequency: twice a week.
  • Conduct lessons based on the curriculum and lesson plans for 7-9 grade students Group size: max. 15 students.
  • Collaborate with instructors in other communities, share the professional experience.
  • Participate in COAF-initiated thematic training and network with the rest of the COAF program instructors.
  • Strongly promote students’ participation in thematic contests, olympiads.
  • Full usage of IT equipment and possibilities available in SMART rooms.

 


YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education or specialized training in Engineering/Physics.
  • Teaching experience in Engineering-related fields /formal or non-formal/.
  • Skills and ability to work with children and to motivate them.
  • Smooth spoken and writing skills in Armenian, good knowledge of English and Russian will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • High sense of responsibility.

 

WE ARE

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 64 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has been implementing the SMART Initiative. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. As an exemplary model, COAF SMART will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018, near the village of Debet, Lori Region.

YOUR TEAM

You will be joining the SMART Operations team (by a Service provision contract) and will work under the leadership of COAF SMART Deputy Business & Operations manager. We are expecting more and require that: 

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Meet the visitors, head them to the tables and introduce the menu
  • Provide detailed information about the menu and help the guests to choose meals (If needed)
  • Check the available dishes from the kitchen every day before starting the working day
  • Take the orders, ensure timely and accurate delivery of the ordered meals 
  • Make sure the order is correct before serving the guests and in case of any mistake, solve the issue immediately
  • Keep the tables tidy and clean before the guests’ arrival, during the treatment and clean up the table after their departure
  • Provide and take the bills
  • Support the staff and be a real part of the team
  • Work diligently and do the best to achieve the highest level in customer service

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Work experience in a related field is a privilege
  • Basic knowledge of English and Russian 
  • Listening, quick reacting, problem-solving, and strong communication skills 
  • Patient, smiling, and gentle with a positive attitude
  • Well informed about the menu, ability to present the dishes in a perfect way
  • Well organized, flexible and multitasking

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the COAF SMART Programs team and will work under the leadership of COAF SMART programs manager. We’re expecting your best and require that:

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Exploring the education programs of SMART Citizenship curriculum and offering innovative solutions to enhancing the learning experience of each
  • Guiding instructors to continuously create and perfect their e-learning content
  • Adapting the learning content to the LMS platform, uploading and continuously upgrading it
  • Daily communication and cooperation with COAF SMART Center educational team
  • Follow up on students’ practice of the content (assigning to groups, gather student data and amend the content accordingly)
  • Daily follow-up and cooperation with the IT team responsible for developing and maintaining the LMS and the respective mobile application
  • Technical support to education operations for LMS and digital tools employed for the curriculum
  • Writing weekly requirements for the product development and following up with the implementation of those
  • Assisting SMART Programs team with student on-boarding process, events and ongoing learning formats

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in developing and designing e-learning content
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Using various databases and tools to gather data and measure improvements and impact
  • Researching and applying innovative learning tools to adhere to the latest standards in Ed-tech
  • Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) content and technical maintenance
  • Experience with content-building online platforms
  • Experience in the field of Education (formal or non-formal)
  • Minimum BA degree in relevant field
  • Fluent in written and spoken Armenian, English and Russian
  • Tech-savvy in GSuite and Adobe Suite
  • An avid believer in student-centered learning methodologies
  • Continuous learner and a motivated change-maker
  • Flexible for traveling to regions with overnight stay

You will be joining the COAF SMART Programs team  (with a Service provision contract) and will work under the leadership of the COAF SMART programs manager. We’re expecting your best and require that:

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

 

  • Teach five core aspects of financial education, namely: Earning, Saving & Investing, Spending, Borrowing, and Protecting
  • Create educational materials such as syllabi, lesson plans, e-learning modules, hand-outs, exercises, and presentations
  • Grade class assignments and examinations. Informs students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements
  • Develop and implement student learning outcomes
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques
  • Integrate new practices, innovations, or techniques relevant to work readiness and college entrance exams
  • Assist in the development of supplemental learning activities to meet the varying academic needs of students
  • Work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team and build teams of idea generators, creators, developers, implementers around in their field
  • Ensure a safe, creative, and imagination boosting working and learning atmosphere

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education and experience in Finance/Related field
  • Knowledge of RA financial system structure and functions 
  • Understanding of planning and efficient management of budget
  • Business management model types and budget prototyping skills
  • Experience in education and ability to work with children is a plus
  • Ability to adapt and use technology in the classroom and for analyzing data
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking ability
  • Languages: Armenian (required), English, and Russian (preferred)
  • High sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively and under pressure
  • Good team player & tech-savvy
