PROJECT COORDINATOR

YOUR ROLE

If you like working in villages, have experience in project development,  are motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then joining  COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) “Your next destination – Lori” project as a Project Coordinator is the perfect role for you. The project aims at making the Debed Canyon a competitive tourism destination. More specifically:

YOUR TEAM

You will be joining the COAF SМАРТ Business and Operations team (with a service provision contract) and work under the leadership of the Project Manager. We’re expecting your best and require that you accomplish the following functions:

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • Аssist with the schedule of the project
  • Help manage the budgets
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures, timesheets
  • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement) – Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports, develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through Donor guides
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education in Economy and/or Business Administration/Management
  • At least five years of professional experience
  • Work experience in international projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Armenian and English, knowledge of Russian is also desirable
  • Ability to work independently under stressful conditions & tight deadlines
  • Work experience in rural communities
  • Experience in organizing training is encouraged
  • Flexibility and willingness to make regular community visits (often overnight)

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF), a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 64 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiative. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.

PERFORMING ARTS INSTRUCTOR

YOUR ROLE

The Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is looking for an enthusiastic performing arts specialist with a solid background and teaching experience in the field of theater education to join the team at the state-of-the art COAF SMART Center in Lori.

 

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the COAF SMART Programs team and will work under the leadership of COAF SMART programs manager. We’re expecting your best and require that:

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Teaches theater education theory and practices performing arts with at least 5 groups of 6-18-of-age youth and adults at a time
  • Creates educational materials such as syllabi, lesson plans, e-learning modules, hand-outs, exercises and presentations
  • Plan and implement community-oriented projects/performances with each group by the end of the program
  • Grades class assignments and examinations. Informs students of course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements
  • Develops and adheres to student learning outcomes
  • Implements effective classroom management techniques
  • Integrates new practices, innovations, or techniques relevant to work readiness and college entrance exams
  • Works efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team and builds teams of idea generators, creators, developers, implementers around in their field
  • Ensures a safe, creative and imagination boosting working and learning atmosphere

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education/ certified training in Theater Studies/Performing arts
  • Ability to adapt and use technology in classroom and for analyzing data
  • Excellent communication skills and public speaking ability
  • Languages: Armenian (required), English and Russian (preferred)
  • High sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively and under pressure
  • Good team player & tech-savvy
  • Considers him/herself a lifelong learner

You will be joining the COAF SMART Campus Business and Operations team  (with a service provision contract) and will work under the leadership of the Concept hotel Chef and the COAF SMART Campus business and operations deputy manager. We’re expecting your best and require that:

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS

  • Adhere to the Concept hotel menu
  • Make dishes from Armenian, Georgian and European cuisines
  • Design the dishes
  • Ensure the rational consumption of the food and be well aware of the food stock and preservation techniques

The project aims at the development of a dairy value chain in the villages of Lori region. More specifically: 

 

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the COAF Village Programs team (with a service provision contract) and will work under the leadership of the village programs manager. We’re expecting your best and require that:

 

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Manage the project entirely, including design, planning, budgeting, implementation, reporting, monitoring & evaluation
  • Develop program implementation tools, mechanisms, and operation models
  • Work with the project’s target existing businesses in the target communities and creation and development of new businesses
  • Work with the project’s target groups during all the phases of the program – feed and milk production, cattle breeding
  • Create and maintain cooperation with all the stakeholders, including the community, beneficiaries, international and local partners, investors
