COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

YOUR ROLE

If you are a passionate & self-determined professional who has an innovative approach to communication and are motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then being a COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Communication Specialist is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Content creation (60%)

  • Creating a compelling and thoughtful copy to bring our mission to life for a variety of audiences and channels
  • Managing the content and structure of the coaf.org website
  • Being fully responsible for the Fund’s Annual Report structure and content
  • Writing and editing copy for marketing campaigns, emails, newsletters, projects, and web pages that inspire the reader
  • Writing press releases and preparing information for the media, creating announcements
  • Developing creative headlines, messages for digital and printing visuals/posters/banners, captions, scripts, and subtitles for videos
  • Creating impactful blog articles in English

Visual and audio content creation (25%)

  • Creating high-quality and creative visuals by closely collaborating with the photographer, videographer, and graphic designer
  • Creating different marketing communication materials (brochures, booklets, banners, posters, newsletters, etc.)
  • Being fully responsible for the podcast creation process from A to Z
  • Repairs & renovates the used property (mobile and non-mobile) equipment due to everyday use and malfunction

Suggestions and upgrades (15%)

  • Come up with proposals aimed at increasing the efficiency of the external communication as well as monthly and weekly newsletters’ open rate

You will be joining the COAF Communications team and working under the leadership of the Communications Manager.

YOU KNOW (knowledge)

  • Written and oral English as your mother tongue
  • Best practices in Communications, PR, Marketing, and e-mail marketing
  • Armenian and/or any other language, which will be an advantage
  • The techniques of a WordPress website content management
  • The rules and principles of writing press releases
  • The techniques of copy editing

YOU CAN (skills)

  • Multitask and work on several projects in parallel
  • Use digital marketing techniques to achieve the goals
  • Use information technology & Google Workspace

WE ARE

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 64 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.

CONCEPT HOTEL WAITER

YOUR ROLE

If you are energetic and active, ready to serve the guests politely, then being a COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Concept Hotel Waiter/Waitress is a perfect role for you. More specifically:

 

Service (85%)

  • Welcome the visitors, head them to the tables and introduce the menu.
  • Provide detailed information about the menu and help the guests to choose meals (If needed).
  • Check the available dishes from the kitchen every day before the working day.
  • Take the orders, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of the ordered meals.
  • Make sure the order is correct before serving the guests and in case of any mistake, solve the issue immediately.
  • Keep the tables tidy and clean before the guests’ arrival, during the treatment and clean up the table after their departure.
  • Ensure the accurate entry and closure of orders in the TrioSoft restaurant program.
  • Support the staff and be a real team player.
  • Work diligently and do your best to achieve the highest level of customer service.

Suggestions (15%)

  •     Come up with proposals to the direct manager and the cooks aimed at enriching the menu with guests’ preferred dishes, as well as making the restaurant work more efficiently.

YOUR TEAM

By assuming the role of waiter/waitress at the Concept hotel you will join COAF SMART business and operations team (with a service provision contract) and will work under direct supervision of the COAF SMART Business operations deputy manager.

YOU

We’re expecting your best and require that:

YOU KNOW (knowledge)

  • English and Russian (basic level). Excellent command of English and Russian will be an advantage.
  • Concept hotel menu well and are capable of presenting the menu dishes.
  • How to use the computer and have basic computer skills. Knowledge and experience in restaurant programs will be an advantage.

YOU CAN (skills)

  • Be well organized, flexible and can multitask.
  • Listen, react quickly, solve conflicts and possess strong communication skills.
  • Work independently under stressful conditions, and meet deadlines.
  • Be flexible to work by different shifts.
  • Be well aware of the food and beverage-related sanitary-hygiene rules, as well as the health and personal hygiene rules.

ACCOUNTANT

YOUR ROLE

If you are a passionate & self-determined professional who has an innovative approach to accounting and are motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then being COAF (Children of Armenia Charitable Fund) accountant is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Accounting functions (80%)

  • Accounting of fixed assets and materials.
  • Accounting of received and given grants and donations.
  • Processing of received invoices.
  • Preparation of payment orders.
  • Issuing invoices within the E-invoicing system.
  • Control over debts and credits.
  • Preparation and presentation of reports to the direct manager and the managing director.
  • Submitting reports to various state organizations as needed.

Suggestions and upgrades (20%)

  • Come up with proposals aimed at improving and making easier accounting procedures, as well as upgrading these and applying legislation changes.

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the accounting team and will be working under the leadership of the chief accountant.

YOU KNOW (knowledge)

  • Financial Reporting Standards and have education in accounting, economics, or financial field, as well as at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Tax legislation and other legal acts.
  • Labor Code.
  • AS-Accountant software.
  • Armenian` written and oral.
  • English- written and oral.
  • Being an ACCA student is preferable.
