SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

YOUR ROLE 

If you are a talented and experienced individual who has a seasoned passion for identifying, writing and influencing an audience with a compelling narrative, who creates content and develops strategies that fuel our growth and who never loses sight of what multiple stakeholders care most about then being COAF’s Senior Communications Manager, is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Strategic leadership and collaboration (40%) 

  • Lead the brand development, storytelling and marketing strategy advancing COAF’s mission through different channels.
  • Oversee specialized marketing functions and team members including content, digital marketing, and events management to ensure that initiatives reflect consistent and compelling messaging, program positioning as well as general audience and donors’ voice.
  • Manage the creation of all donor-related communication materials (brochures, flyers, booklets, one-pagers, pitch decks, presentations).
  • Increase the visibility of COAF’s work among various stakeholders.
  • Expand strategic communications partnerships with the public and private sectors.
  • Use innovative marketing strategies to build relationships, enhance reputation, and strengthen COAF’s brand.
  • Manage the overall communication on key events including fundraising galas, dinners, and other events.
  • Oversee key brand partnerships and engagements as well as advise on and undertake marketing execution.

Media and reputation management (20%)

  • Work towards enhancing and building the organization’s reputation by constantly measuring the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Oversee and manage digital platforms assuring proper monitoring and analysis.
  • Build, maintain, recover, and promote Fund’s online presence.
  • Manage mass media relations ensuring COAF’s continuous presence on local and international media platforms (TV, radio, newspapers, eNews).

People Management (40%)

  • Lead and mentor COAF’s communications team.
  • Build and develop relationships with team members to further their work, provide guidance and increase efficiency across the team.
  • Co-create company culture, motivate and empower employees (including helping them to reach their deadlines and KPIs).

YOU HAVE

  • Master’s Degree in journalism, PR, marketing, communications, international relations, the management or other relevant fields from a recognized university.
  • At least 10 years of experience in PR, marketing and communications, with 5 years of management with experience in developing and executing marketing and communications strategies or branding plans. (International experience is a plus.)
  • Superior writing skills, and experience in multiple forms of persuasive writing including success stories, news, talking points, brand building, presentations etc. both in English and Armenian.
  • Experience in project management, including the production of diverse communications resources such as publications, multi-media, websites/pages, photos and videos, social media, etc.
  • Superb leadership and strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time, team and project management skills.

YOU CAN 

  • Produce diverse communications/marketing resources and content to convey why the project, cause, or organization is worthwhile.

  • Write and speak fluently in Armenian and English (both verbal & written), knowledge of Russian is a plus,

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

YOUR ROLE

Content creation (60%)

  • Creating a compelling and thoughtful copy to bring our mission to life for a variety of audiences and channels
  • Managing the content and structure of the coaf.org website and social media pages
  • Being fully responsible for the Fund’s Annual Report structure and content
  • Writing and editing copy for marketing campaigns, emails, newsletters, projects, and web pages that inspire the reader
  • Writing press releases and preparing information for the media, creating announcements
  • Developing creative headlines, and messages for digital and printing visuals/posters/banners, captions, scripts and subtitles for videos
  • Creating impactful blog articles in English

Visual and audio content creation (25%)

  • Creating high-quality and creative visuals by closely collaborating with the photographer, videographer, and graphic designer
  • Creating different marketing communication materials (brochures, booklets, banners, posters, newsletters, etc.)
  • Being fully responsible for the podcast creation process from A to Z
  • Repairs & renovates the used property (mobile and non-mobile) equipment due to everyday use and malfunction

Suggestions and upgrades (15%)

  • Come up with proposals aimed at increasing the efficiency of external communication as well as monthly and weekly newsletters’ open rate

IT SPECIALIST

YOUR ROLE 

If you are specialized in IT, have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies, and have solid experience in the IT field, then the roleof an IT Specialist at COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) SMART Campus is a perfect role for you. More specifically:

IT System Integration and Maintenance (50%)

  • Responsible for the infrastructure, wired and wireless systems, network, access system, and information technology solutions of the COAF SMART Campus.
  • Introduce technical solutions to problems encountered during the program implementation and offer options for improving digital tools.
  • Carry out all the work related to information technologies of the COAF SMART Campus and be responsible for their smooth operation.
  • Provide software and hardware maintenance, and ensure smooth internet operation of the COAF SMART Campus buildings.
  • Participate in organizing various events of campus, and provide technical support.

Data System Management (30%)

  • Follow up on program preliminary and ongoing tests, data collection, input, and implement the digital analysis.
  • Implement regular updates of the database.
  • Assist the teams in maintaining the program-related digital documents and questionnaires in an accurate manner to support the planning and monitoring of the COAF SMART Center activities.

Innovation (20%)

  • Explore the advancements in modern technologies necessary for a technical upgrade of the COAF SMART Campus equipment, and coordinate the procurement process.
  • Explore modern software solutions, integrate them into the system upon necessity, and contribute to the effective operations of the Campus subdivisions.

By assuming the role of IT Specialist at the COAF SMART Campus you will be joining COAF SMART operations team and will be working under the direct leadership of the COAF SMART operations manager.

ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR

YOUR ROLE 

If you are an aspiring professional with an innovative approach to teaching English and a passionate pioneer for non-formal quality education for school students, you are welcome to join the Children of Armenia Charitable Fund (COAF) team as an after-school instructor of the English language who will work in non-formal education settings in Lori marz.

Your duties will include:

Content Creation & Development (30%)

  • Develop the program syllabus, design lesson plans, educational resources and materials for school students in a non-formal education format
  • Incorporate enhancement activities and intensive sessions to emphasize the US culture and the Armenian culture, political and educational systems, as well as lifestyle
  • Adapt and create materials to enhance personal growth, career orientation and professional choices
  • Foster community-led programs, and integrate technologies into the curriculum

After-School Program implementation (70%)

  • Conduct student-centred classes that promote 21st-century skills: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, culture, etc.
  • Upgrade learner’s communicative skills using authentic tools and materials, as well as innovative methods of teaching
  • Implement relevant materials and guide the students throughout their learning
  • Develop students’ language proficiency through discussions, group and pair work, peer instruction, and presentations
  • Continually boost student’s motivation through a variety of activities to improve their learning outcomes
  • Integrate knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSA) as an inseparable part of the curriculum
  • Travel to rural school to teach 14-17-year old students to enhance their English proficiency level during the after-school instruction
  • Monitor students’ progress, provide constructive feedback and take part in teacher-parent meetings
  • Adapt and adjust teaching materials based on the students’ needs
  • Build positive rapport with students to ensure a conducive environment for learning and to keep students’ motivation high.

You will be joining the COAF Village Programs team, working 24 hours per week, in coordination and under the direct supervision and leadership of COAF English Programs Manager.

FINANCE & OPERATIONS MANAGER

YOUR ROLE 

If you are a passionate & self-determined professional, the COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Finance & Operations Manager based in New York, NY is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Financial Management (50%)

  • Maintain timely financial bookkeeping and chart of accounts.
  • Supervise monthly bank reconciliation, contract payments, and payroll.
  • Manage the organization’s relationships with banks, auditors, and state regulators.
  • Collaborate with COAF Armenia for forecasting, quarterly and annual financial statements, and annual budget.
  • Provide monthly financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop budgets for grant applications and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Track expenses and budget for COAF events, and issue payments to vendors and consultants in a timely manner.

Governance (25%)

  • Maintain Board of Director meeting schedule and prepare materials for Board of Director meetings.
  • Supervise compliance and governance best practices, including annual audits, state and federal filings, and donation requirements.
  • Work with leadership to implement development strategies.

Operations (25%)

  • Work closely with COAF Armenia to set strategic goals.
  • Bring an innovative approach to systems and procedures in order to maximize organizational efficiency and outcomes.
  • Work with other senior staff to promote a positive work environment, staff development, and recruiting efforts.
  • Collaborate when necessary with Development staff to plan and execute COAF events.
  • General administrative tasks as needed.
