SPEECH THERAPY MANAGER

YOUR ROLE

If you are a passionate speech therapy professional who has an innovative approach to therapy and education and is motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment, then being COAF (Children of Armenia Fund) Speech Therapy Manager is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Program Management & Operations (50%)

  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the Speech therapy services in the beneficiary villages through planning, scheduling, operations, and quality assurance.
  • Supervise the assessment process of the target children and their involvement in the program.
  • Monitor and observe the speech therapy sessions through regular visits to COAF’s Child and Family Centers in the villages.
  • Maintain effective cooperation with the local schools and local & international partners.
  • Oversee the programs’ annual budget planning and regular expenses.
  • Organize and implement seminars and awareness-raising activities on speech development for target parents, teachers, and children.

People Management (30%)

  • Manage your team’s workload and schedule guaranteeing work quality & high productivity.
  • Monitor your team’s performance by providing regular feedback.
  • Enable your teams’ continuous professional growth & motivation through professional and methodological supervision and capacity building.
  • Ensure communication flows between your team & other actors.
  • Ensure hiring and onboarding of new team members, if needed.

Content Creation & Development (20%)

  • Creation & development of the speech therapy content, including the model, implementation plans & mechanisms.
  • Foresee the creation & continuous development of program schedules, assessment cards, and learning materials.
  • Suggest and develop awareness-raising and educational materials, including manuals and booklets for the program per need.

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the COAF Village Programs team and leading one of the three main directions of our Child & Family Services pillar – Speech Therapy. You will work under the leadership of COAF Village programs manager and will manage the team of COAF speech therapists.

YOU KNOW 

  • All about speech therapy, as you have higher education in the field  & more than 8 years of work experience.
  • Armenian, verbal & written and good knowledge of English.
  • Conducting research & program evaluation.
  • Conducting professional development training and seminars.
  • Creating educational and working materials on speech therapy.
  • Good knowledge of the speech therapy field development in Armenia and abroad.

YOU CAN

  • Manage programs, as you have experience in a relevant field.
  • Design a non-formal education program content, as you have relevant experience, also as a trainer and as a speech therapist.

Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that employs community-led approaches to improve the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, health, social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 66 villages in Armavir, Aragatsotn, Lori, Gegharkunik, Shirak, and Tavush regions.

Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and will be replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debet, Lori Region.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PSYCHOLOGIST

YOUR ROLE 

If you are an active and creative professional who loves working with children aged 3 to 6 years old, then being COAF’s (Children of Armenia Charitable Fund) Psychologist of the Child and Family Center in Karakert village of the Armavir region is a perfect role for you. Your duties will include:

Implementation of Child Group Development and Early Learning Programs (60%)

  • Conduct group development work with preschool children․
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the children to identify development disorders and peculiarities.
  • Ensure a safe, creative and imagination-boosting working and learning atmosphere.
  • Create individual development plans for each child and fill in the relevant documents by generating an electronic database.
  • Develop and implement various group development programs

Work with Parents (30%)

  • Prepare different materials for the development of parenting skills and conduct exercises, meeting-discussions on upbringing, child development and overcoming problems with the parents.
  • Regularly inform parents about the work with children by making them direct participants in the activities.
  • Conduct personal meetings with parents in order to inform them about the success, and progress of the child and discuss joint work programs.

Individual Consultation (10%)

  • Conduct individual consultations with preschool children.
  • If necessary, provide parents with individual consultations about the difficulties of the child and ways to overcome them.

  • Main areas of child development, psychology of childhood age since you have higher education in the fields of Psychology, Preschool or Special Education.
  • Universal inclusiveness policy․
  • The formal education policy of Armenia․
  • Languages: Armenian (required), English, and Russian are a plus.

YOU CAN 

  • Provide high-quality psychological services, since you have more than 2 years of work experience, particularly with children.
  • Develop and implement various psychological, and developmental programs with preschool children․
  • Organize, prioritize & multitask.
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Integrate technology in the classroom and use it as an analytical tool.
  • Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure maximum results and a holistic approach.

PSYCHOLOGIST

YOUR ROLE

If you are experienced in carrying out psychological work with children and their families, are flexible, organized, and responsible, then the role of a COAF (Children of Armenia Charitable Foundation) Psychologist at the Child and Family Center in Armavir is a perfect fit for you.

Your duties will include:

Psychological counseling (70%)

  • Provide diagnostics, preventive, developmental, corrective, educational psychological services and counseling.
  • Organize beneficiary assessments and primary diagnoses, and make rehabilitation work plans as needed.
  • Conduct assessment of preschool and school-age children to identify child development disorders and peculiarities.
  • Conduct individual and group work with preschool and school-age children based on assessment.

Work with parents (30%)

  • Regularly inform parents/ legal representatives about the work with children by making them direct participants in those activities.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure maximum results and a holistic approach.
  • Conduct seminars and training on parenting skills and personal development.
