Coming to Armenia wasn’t something new to me. I usually visited in the summers, lived as a tourist for a few weeks in my motherland, and went back to Lebanon.
Yerevan, 15․01․2019 – Mr. Korioun Khatchadourian appointed as the new Managing Director of The Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) to lead the organization through its next phase of innovation and growth.
In a place where opportunities are scarce, a young and ambitious man came up with an idea to broaden the horizons of children living in the village of Dalarik. Janik Tonoyan, a 26-year-old physical education teacher at the local school in Dalarik, started teaching members of the COAF Sports Club a game unfamiliar to most in Armenia.
Lilit Khachatryan, 25, is an art critic and photographer from COAF-supported Dalarik community, Armavir region. Currently she works at the History Museum of Armenia. She enjoys designing books and taking photos of museum pieces.
A 4-day COAF and US Embassy English Access Microscholarship camp for about 120 participants from Aragatsavan, Lernagog, Beniamin, Vahagni, Marts, Debet, Dsegh, Yeghegnut, Dzoragyugh, Aygehovit was conducted in Armavir and COAF SMART.

Meet Arpine Mazhinyan, a Yerevan State University graduate and an expert in sociology and conflict studies. In 2017 she was awarded with a Fulbright Foreign Student Program grant. Currently she is pursuing a master’s degree in Public Policy at Oregon State University.
Meet Nareh Galstyan from Lernagog. This 17-year-old girl is just back from Minnesota where she spent a year at a high school and lived in a host family, in the framework of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program.
Nairi Mnatsakanyan is a serious 17-year-old from Dalarik. “He is one of the best students,” the local school deputy headmaster says. “Nairi is one of those smart and bright teens that know their purpose and do their best to achieve it.”
COAF-supported Koti village bordering Azerbaijan is one of the most vulnerable communities in Armenia. Last year Evocabank made a donation that went towards renovating two rooms in Koti healthcare facility.
