This year’s annual COAF fundraiser, “Home is Calling,” highlights the work that urgently needs to be done in Armenia, especially in rural regions. Recent developments have demonstrated that Armenia is calling to the supporters beyond its borders, to join in the process of nation-building, providing equal opportunities to those who need them most. Armenia’s villages are the backbone of the country, yet lack of access to education, healthcare, social and economic opportunities consistently keeps children from reaching their full potential.
Many of you have helped make meaningful progress in rural communities. COAF’s SMART Ecosystem in Lori has brought young people together at the SMART Center to study engineering, athletics, arts, music, languages, and entrepreneurship. The impact in Armavir over the last 18 years has been substantial, with infrastructure initiatives bringing modern amenities to dozens of villages across the region.
With your support, COAF has a track record of innovating, and making the right investments at the right time, to dramatically change lives. Now that our SMART model of community and economic development has been proven successful, we are expanding by building a second SMART Ecosystem in COAF’s home province of Armavir.
This $7 million project is significant in its scope and scale and is a transformative opportunity for those of us who want to make a difference. On December 11th, we will hold our second virtual Gala, “Home is Calling,” with the objective of raising funds to fully complete the Armavir SMART Center. This will be our most ambitious project and largest fundraising goal in COAF’s history.
Your help in this monumental endeavor is invaluable. We hope you will register to watch the event at givebutter.com/homeiscalling.
Together, we can ensure Armenia’s rural youth don’t just survive but thrive.
