Summer Camps at COAF: Long Days, Bright Ideas

Summer at COAF is anything but quiet. Over the coming months, hundreds of children and youth from across Armenia will gather to learn, create, collaborate, and explore through a diverse range of educational programs.
Whether imagining the inventions of tomorrow, developing digital literacy skills, building healthy habits, or connecting with peers from around the world, participants will spend their summer gaining experiences that inspire confidence, curiosity, and growth.
Imagining the Future at the SMART Center
Approximately 220 students will participate in the SMART Center's summer program, centered around the theme "The Future: That Which Does Not Yet Exist."
Working in teams, students will become either Inventors, imagining new technologies and ideas, or Innovators, designing solutions to real-world challenges in their communities. Guided by values such as teamwork, responsibility, communication, and creativity, participants will develop and present their ideas during a final project showcase.
Preparing Responsible Digital Citizens
Complementing the camp's focus on future thinking and innovation, students will also explore what it means to be responsible digital citizens in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Developed by COAF's Education and Alumni Program, the Digital Citizenship module is designed to help SMART students become thoughtful, responsible, and informed participants in the digital world.
Through interactive activities, discussions, simulations, and games, participants explored topics such as media literacy, digital footprints, artificial intelligence, online safety, and digital wellbeing.
The module encourages students to think critically about the information they encounter online, understand the long-term impact of their digital actions, and learn how technology can be used responsibly for civic participation and community engagement.
By combining practical digital skills with discussions around ethics, responsibility, and participation, the program helps students navigate the digital world with confidence and awareness.
Learning Healthy Habits Through Play
This summer, health education is stepping out of the classroom and onto the field.

Building on last year's successful Healthy Lifestyle campaign, implemented in partnership with Armenia's Ministry of Health, COAF will host two Healthy Lifestyle Festivals this summer as part of the SMART Center camp.
Through interactive stations led by healthcare and education professionals, students will explore topics such as nutrition, hygiene, psychological well-being, oral health, and healthy communication habits. Each festival will conclude with team sports and physical activities, while five additional festivals will be organized throughout the year in partner schools with COAF's support.

Bringing ACCESS Students Together in Gyumri
This July, approximately 120 COAF English ACCESS students from four regions will gather at the Gyumri Technology Center for a one-day summer camp made possible by the United States Embassy.
Centered on the 250th anniversary of the United States, the program will combine educational activities, discussions, and guest speakers while giving students the opportunity to practice English, connect with peers from across Armenia, and build new friendships.

A Summer of Growth
Whether students are designing future inventions, exploring responsible digital behavior, developing healthy habits, or connecting with peers from across the country, COAF's summer programs are designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, creativity, and lifelong learning.
