Join us in our campaign to raise funds for the construction of an outdoor recreation area and playground at the Youredjian Child & Family Center (CFC) in Myasnikyan, Armavir. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Community Initiative, who is our partner in this joyful endeavor, engages EBRD staff to carry out charitable initiatives in the countries that EBRD invests. COAF’s Child & Family Centers serve as beacons of hope, offering essential services and inclusive learning environments to vulnerable populations. The Youredjian CFC in Myasnikyan is poised to support 300-400 children aged 3-6, including forcibly displaced youth from Nagorno-Karabakh, providing early childhood education, psychosocial support, and tailored programs for children with special learning needs.
COAF’s CFCs provide crucial inclusive learning and support services to vulnerable populations across Armenia. These early childhood development hubs offer free preschool education, speech therapy, and psychosocial support, extending a helping hand to families in rural communities and combating mental health stigmas.
Why it matters?
The communities surrounding the Youredjian CFC in Myasnikyan face immense challenges, with a 40.8% poverty rate—the second highest in Armenia. Over half of Armavir’s children live in poverty, lacking essential developmental services. CFCs like ours are vital for their well-being.

The EBRD Community Initiative has agreed in principle to provide matching funding for up to 50,000 EUR raised, subject to the condition that the necessary money will be raised, and the reporting requirements will be met. We have reached this goal and new donations will not be matched but greatly appreciated!
