If you’re a goal-oriented, creative, active, and communicative professional, then the role of Speech Therapist at COAF’s (Children of Armenia Fund) Child and Family Center in Karakert is for you. Here are the details:
Speech Therapy Interventions (80%)։
- Observe and identify speech disorders and communication difficulties among children and adults in the beneficiary communities.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for each beneficiary.
- Based on the assessment results, provide individual and group speech therapy services.
- Apply appropriate corrective and educational methods and tools to address speech-related issues.
Education and Awareness (10%)։
- Organize and conduct training sessions for parents of beneficiary children to raise awareness of speech therapy work.
- Regularly develop informational materials such as posters and flyers for parents/legal guardians and community residents.
- Conduct seminars aimed at preventing speech disorders for parents, staff of preschools and schools, and high school students.
Collaboration (10%)։
- Collaborate with the Center’s multidisciplinary team and various departments of the Foundation to achieve maximum impact.
- Work closely with preschools, schools, and healthcare institutions in the communities.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with other organizations.

By taking on the role of Speech Therapist, you will become part of COAF’s large Rural Programs team and work under the direct supervision of COAF’s Speech Therapy Services Coordinator.

The “Children of Armenia” Charitable Fund (COAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at improving the quality of life in rural Armenia, with a particular focus on children and youth. COAF’s target development areas are education, healthcare, child and family services, as well as social and economic development. COAF launched its programs in 2004, starting in one village and expanding to 82 villages and communities across the country with an investment of more than $70 million, impacting well over 107,000 people across rural Armenia.
Since 2015, COAF has developed and started implementing SMART Initiatives. COAF SMART is designed to advance a generation across the rural world through education that will benefit individuals, societies, and the environment. COAF SMART is an exemplary model of development and is presently being replicated in other regions and communities throughout Armenia. The first COAF SMART Center was inaugurated on May 27, 2018 near the village of Debed, Lori Region.
