Across five regions, COAF welcomes its 2026 class of English learners
When people hear stories of COAF students going on to excel in their studies, careers, and businesses, their journeys often begin with COAF’s English programs.
Over the past two decades, COAF has built one of the most robust English afterschool programs in Armenia—not only in the quality of its curriculum, but in the culture it fosters. Child-centered classes encourage collaboration, curiosity, and active engagement.
Materials are thoughtfully designed to reflect local realities in rural Armenia and nurture global awareness, transforming English afterschool clubs into powerful spaces for learning, connection, and the development of civic values.
In 2026, the mission remains the same, now growing in both scale and sophistication. Here’s a snapshot of COAF’s newest class in one of its most celebrated programs.
300+ English Access Students Join Across 5 Regions—With a New Chapter in Syunik
Through COAF’s continued collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, the English Access Program continues to grow—reaching new regions while deepening its impact across existing communities.
This year marks a major milestone: the program has expanded to Syunik for the first time, welcoming 200+ students in Goris, Kapan, and Meghri. As COAF’s first students in Armenia’s southernmost province, they represent an exciting new chapter in our national reach.
At the same time, 100+ students across Armavir, Aragatsotn, Shirak, and Lori have joined English Access programs in their communities, continuing to strengthen COAF’s long-standing network of afterschool learning.
200+ SMART Students Begin an Expanded English Program
At the COAF SMART Center, English is one of 19 free programs offered to students. This year, the program has expanded to span the full academic year, with 60 sessions delivered over 30 weeks.

200+ Youredjian Scholars Strengthen Their English Skills
COAF supports students from their first steps through to their first careers. The Youredjian Scholarship Program plays a critical role in ensuring that young people in rural communities can access higher education.
More than financial support, the program engages students in giving back to their communities, holds them accountable for their academic progress, and helps them grow into confident, capable leaders. English learning is now a core component of that journey.

A New Class, A Shared Future
Welcome, Class of 2026. You make us all proud, and we cannot wait to see where your journey takes you.
